Hell if I know.
I'm of the opinion that over the millenia there have lived people far more brilliant, religious and spiritual than I am. They didn't figure it out. I think we have a right to know the answers to all of the important questions about life. Somebody out there doesn't agree. We're still asking the same questions and coming up empty.

it was so sad to see these children raised in a crazy religion and abused by their preacher (tony alamo).
what was more disturbing was how similar some things were to jws, such as blaming the victim instead of the abuser.. one child bride made an escape from tony and ran away from his house, running for 2 miles before she reached the home of a complete stranger and asked if they could help her.
they let her stay the night and gave her money for a bus ticket to her mother in california.
Yeah I saw that. I remember when I was in the org and would hear cult stories. I'd shake my head at how brainwashed the followers were. Now the stories remind me of how brainwashed I was.

I am perplexed that the JWs who are aware of the corruption cannot take that awareness a step further and get the hell out of there.

i am so inlove with this woman.... we have been dating for six months and she is finally starting to let me in.
she is the portrait of sweet country feminitiy and i am a masculine little macho but smart and sweet meat head.. she called me the other night having a panic attack.
well she texted b/c she couldn't talk.
TD - yeah. A huge part of panic/anxiety is poor coping. We were given a buttload of things we've had to deal with present/post witness life.

I actually hate the computer. The light bothers my eyes after a few hours of working. But I like getting my news online and browsing health-related websites mostly.

well ok I thought of something.
I liked growing up with lots of families in the congregation. We laughed a lot at the meetings. Kind of like school, I guess.
Backspacer reminded me of how fun it was to plan my wardrobe for the meetings (especially as a teenager).... I'd forgotten about that.
